So a bit of open discussion here, what do you think is the best tool to make a game. What programs do you use? Where do you start?
I usually started with pen and paper. Sometimes I started directly in the program using simple geometric forms which I later change with more complex graphics.
I have been using Adobe Flash and Illustrator to create my old games, but now I'm looking into Xcode and swift hoping I can evolve(if I have the time).
There are many options and tools out there if you just wanna make a game.

Xcode
Javascript
Adobe Animate/Flash

How do you make games? What do you think is the future of game making? Many games a old games with new wrapping, how do you keep it fresh?
Cheers

The 30 Day Game Project
The 30 Day Game Project
One guy building an entire game in 30 days with no experience, no help, and no sleep.
Hello fellow game developers! I've stumbled upon this interesting project which I feel many members may take an interest in. While not entirely related to Flash, I believe keeping an eye on this project offers a great learning opportunity in game development and experience. As a game developer working on my own game with a vague idea of iPhone game development, I know I'm definitely intrigued with this game production life-cycle :).

As an interactive music enthusiast, this makes me very happy ;D. In a way it brings together so many interactive elements which makes the experience very unique. Is it a game? An interactive music video? Probably, but it's definitely fun.

He's tormenting with arabic language, comment and i will update the rules to add "english only group".
Captivating Experience
I recently ran into a beautifully executed example of combining Flash 2D side-scrollers with stop motion. Here is the http://pleasurehunt.mymagnum.com/
This is just a gorgeous finely polished work of art
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Just a reference about flash support being removed guzu & others:
Chrome to stop using Flash - www.bbc.com/news/technology-36…
Firefox to stop using Flash - gizmodo.com/firefox-now-blocks…
There's other stuff I've seen floating around too. The main reasons is they are claiming it is vulnerable to security risks.
In light of this, DA should start supporting other platforms like Unity web player or HTML5.
